Kharazmi University, an esteemed institution in Iran, holds its recognition as one of the government-affiliated universities operating under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. It takes pride in its distinguished namesake, the eminent Iranian scientist, Muhammad ibn Musa al-Kharazmi.
The esteemed origins of this university can be traced back to the year 1919, marking its legacy as a pioneering higher education institution in Iran that is widely recognized.
In 2017, Kharazmi University undertook the establishment of the Persian Language Center for non-Persian speakers. This strategic initiative reflects the university's commitment to leverage the expertise of its esteemed faculty members in order to promote and propagate Persian culture, language, and literature. Recognizing these facets as integral components of the soft power of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the University Board of Trustees granted their approval for the establishment of this center, obtaining the necessary license from the esteemed Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
In tandem with the commemoration of Kharazmi University's centenary, the formal inauguration of the Persian Language Center for non-Persian speakers took place through a modest ceremony held at the university's administrative office. With an unwavering objective, the center has now initiated its official operations, aiming to attract and educate individuals interested in acquiring proficiency in the Persian language.
One of the primary goals of this educational center is to attract international students in order to establish fundamental scientific and educational standards, along with the promotion of Iranian culture and literature on a global scale and the facilitation of peace. Additionally, the center endeavors to undertake the evaluation of instructional materials employed by other university institutions that offer Persian language education to non-Persian speakers.
This undertaking is an essential measure towards achieving the appropriate education of international students, as well as the establishment of a solid foundation for gaining expertise in their respective fields of specialization.
Currently, the TPFL Center at Kharazmi University has successfully created a favorable academic and cultural environment, allowing for the recruitment of enthusiastic students who are eager to learn and love the Persian language.
The instructors and personnel at the TPFL Center exhibit a remarkable demonstration of sincerity and engagement in their interactions with students. Such a behavior constitutes an exemplary hallmark of effective communication and pedagogy that can positively impact the students' learning outcomes.
The university professors, who have extensive expertise in teaching Persian to non-Persian speakers, employ the most recent and scientifically supported methods and workshops for instruction.
The Persian Language Center at Kharazmi University offers a variety of courses at all levels, from beginners to advanced, providing the opportunity to learn Persian for non-Persian speakers of all ages.
In addition to offering face-to-face training, the center also develops and offers virtual and distance learning programs to accommodate individuals who are unable to attend in-person sessions for various reasons. These programs are tailored to meet the needs and circumstances of the students.
