On Sunday, 28th of January, 2024, a team of professors and directors from University of Technology of Iraq (UOT) visited the International Relations Office (IRO) of Kharazmi University to meet, discuss and exchange opinions. Dr. Mehry Akbary the Director of the Teaching Persian as a Foreign Language (TPFL) warmly received the UOT representatives led by Dr Laith Sabri and his colleagues. She expressed a brief explanation about the university history and background, and introduced the IRO services, managers and heads of the different departments. She explained that TPFL is a unique center at KhU dedicated to teaching Persian and offers other languages to enthusiastic learners and international students. It assists these students in their initial steps toward attending formal courses. The TPFL maintains strong connections with both national (e.g., Saadi Foundation) and international institutions (e.g., Astana International University) to promote language learning for eager learners in both formal and informal contexts.
The TPFL proposed collaborative initiatives including Persian Language Courses and Cultural Exchanges for students and staffs from University of Technology.
